LJ Electrical Group ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the limited third parties involved in running this website. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Most of the personal information we hold is what you choose to give us, namely when you:

• complete the enquiry form on this website (your name, phone number, email address, suburb and any details you include in your message); or
• contact us directly by phone or email.

Separately, when anyone visits this website, our analytics and advertising tools automatically receive limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, without you entering anything. The Analytics and Cookies and tracking sections below explain this in detail.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect sensitive information through this website.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to:

• respond to your enquiry and provide a quote;
• arrange and carry out the electrical work you request; and
• communicate with you about your job.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

How this website is hosted

This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel is a US-based provider that operates a global content delivery network, including edge locations in Sydney, Australia. Standard web server logs (such as your IP address and browser type) may be processed by Vercel to deliver the site securely and reliably. The website itself is a set of static files and does not run a database of visitor information.

Contact form submissions

Our enquiry form is delivered using Web3Forms. When you submit the form, your details are transmitted via Web3Forms and emailed directly to LJ Electrical Group's inbox in Australia. The form is configured so that submissions are not stored in a Web3Forms database — they are simply relayed to us by email. We retain enquiry emails only for as long as needed to respond to you and keep reasonable business records.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. Plausible is privacy-focused and EU-hosted. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other websites. Our advertising measurement does use cookies, and is described in the next section.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses Google Ads conversion tracking (a Google tag) so we can tell which of our advertising produces enquiries. The tag loads on the live site, ljelectricalgroup.com.au, and records two things: when an enquiry form is successfully submitted, and when someone clicks our phone number. It does not run while the site is being developed or tested.

The Google tag sets advertising cookies in your browser, such as _gcl_au, and shares information about your visit with Google, including your IP address, browser type, the page you are on and whether you arrived from one of our ads. Google is located in the United States. Enhanced conversions are switched off, so we do not send Google your name, email address, phone number or any other details you enter in the form, in hashed form or otherwise. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel or session-recording tools. Web fonts are self-hosted on this site rather than loaded from Google Fonts or another external font service.

Disclosure of your information

We do not disclose your personal information except as described above (our hosting, form-delivery, analytics and advertising providers), or where required or authorised by law. Some of these providers are located overseas (Vercel and Google in the United States; Plausible within the European Union), as disclosed above.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete enquiry records, by contacting us using the details below. You may also make a privacy complaint, which we will respond to promptly.
